One day trekking

Mini Adventure Doi inthanon area

Itinerary : Pick up from your hotel at 8am. Drive 45 mins. to the south-west of Chiang Mai. Arrive at the elephant camp and ride on the elephants for approx. 1 hr. Drive on to a Karen village, where we start a 2 hr. hike through the forest. We pass a number of waterfalls on the way; you can cool off with a refreshing swim. We end up at a Karen village, where there's time to rest and explore. Lunch is had along the way or at the village. After exploring the village walk for 1 hr. to the pick up point, and then drive to the start of the rafting trip. Travel down the river on bamboo rafts for approx. 1 hr. Then drive back to Chiang Mai. (L) Highlights - A good one day hike for those that are fit and short of time, including elephant riding and rafting.

Trekking in mae wang area Joint

Itinerary : Pick up from your hotel at 8.30am. Drive approx. 45 mins to the south-west of Chiang Mai. During the day, walk for approx. 1 hr., ride on elephants for approx. 45 mins, and raft down the river for approx. 1 hr. You will be able to meet the Karen hilltribe on this trek and see some of their villages. A packed lunch is taken to eat during the day. (L)

Trekking in mae taeng Area

Itinerary : Pick up from your hotel at 8.30am. Drive approx. 1 hr.to the north of Chiang Mai. Arrive at the elephant camp and ride the elephants for approx. 1 hr., then travel down the river by bamboo rafts for approx. 1 hr. Drive on for another hour to a Karen village. Have a packed lunch at the Karen village. Then explore around the Karen village and walk for half an hour to a Lisu village. Walk another 15 mins. to an Akha village and from there continue by vehicle to a Palong village. An opportunity to visit with the different tribes and hear about their lifestyle and culture. Then drive back to Chiang Mai. (L)

Highlights - visiting the different hilltribes as well as elephant riding & rafting. Minimal walking , very easy.

Trekking in mae taeng Area and chiangdao cave

A one day trek that takes you on a hike through the hilltribe villages to see the Lahu, Karen and Palong villages. After the 2-3hr easy hike we visit the Chiang Dao Caves, an ancient complex of temple caves. This is a good trek for those that like to take an easy hike without the elephant riding or rafting.Itinerary : Pick up from your hotel at 8.30am. Drive approx. 1 hr.to the north of Chiang Mai. We start hiking from the Lahu village. The total hiking time is approx. 2 1/2hrs and is fairly easy with no steep hills. We take a picnic lunch to have along the way. Along the way we stop to explore the villages of the Karen and Palong hilltribes and enjoy the scenery of rural Northern Thailand.At the end of our hike we are picked up by our vehicle and drive for approx. 30mins to the Chiang Dao Caves. We explore inside the caves and see the many Buddha images placed there by worshippers throughout the previous centuries. Then drive back to Chiang Mai, approx. 1 ½hrs. (L)

Day 1 Drive north of Chiang Mai and first visit an orchid farm with a huge display of Thailand's best known flowers. Then drive further north towards Mae Taeng for approx 1½hrs to the start of our trek. We trek through the hills of Northern Thailand enjoying our scenic route through the area of the Mae Taeng valley and uphill to a hilltribe village and waterfall. Hiking is for approx. 2½hrs to a Lahu village and a waterfall nearby. Overnight in the Lahu hilltribe village. (L,D)

Day 2 On the second day walk for approx. 1½hrs to the elephant camp and ride on the elephants for 1hr. Then on to the start of the rafting trip. Take the whitewater rafting trip for approx. 45mins. Enjoy the thrill of passing through the rapids; rafting stretches of the river not passable on the normal bamboo rafts. Pick up from the end point and drive back to Chiang Mai which takes approx. 1½hrs. (B,L)Highlights = elephant riding and whitewater rafting (inflatable rafts, safe and suitable for whitewater), as well as hiking in the hills and staying with the Lahu tribe. This is a trek and includes hiking, elephant riding and white water rafting in the two days. It is a fairly easy trek to a scenic area, staying in a Lahu village. Good for those who want a variety and to try the whitewater rafting adventure

Trekking 2 Days 1 night Joint

Day 1 Drive south of Chiang Mai to an elephant camp and ride on the elephants for 1 hour. Continue driving on to a Karen village, stopping for lunch on the way. From the Karen village walk for 2½ hours through the foothills of Doi Inthanon, passing two waterfalls on the way. Our final stop is another Karen village, where we spend the night. (L,D)

Day 2 Walk for 1½ hours in the morning, passing through a Karen village and then rejoin the truck to drive on to the raft camp. We stop for lunch on the way. In the afternoon raft down the river for 1 hour. Then drive back to Chiang Mai. (B,L)Highlights = elephant riding and rafting, as well as hiking through the foothills of Doi Inthanon and seeing the Karen tribe. A good trek for anyone who is not fit, and as it's a private trek you can stop as often as you need.

Trekking 2 Days 1 nights

Our popular 2 day trek to the area north of Chiang Mai. This is a fairly easy trek and the route can be altered to make it a very easy trek if travelling with children or older people not used to hiking.

Day 1 Start of our two day trek. Drive north of Chiang Mai towards Chiang Dao, taking approx 1 ½ hours. First visit the Chiang Dao Caves, a cave complex used as a Buddhist temple for hundreds of years, and then have lunch. After exploring the caves drive half an hour further to an Akha village and start our trek. Walk for 3 hrs in the afternoon until we reach a Palong village. We can choose either a harder 3hr hike or an easy 2 ½ hour lowland hike, depending on group fitness. We spend the night in the Palong village. (L,D)

Day 2 Ride the elephants out of the Palong village for approx. 1hr. Walk for a further 30mins, then meet our transport and drive to the start of the rafting trip. After lunch board the rafts for a 1hr trip down the Ping River. Drive back to Chiang Mai.(B,L)
